Loaded Longboards - Tan Tien £159.95
by Olve Drageset Date Added: Monday 09 August, 2010
I got the Tan Tien this afternoon, and the most describing 2 words for this board after "Tan Tien" is: "It's AWESOME!"

The Tan Tien is VERY lightweight, has a good flex patern (i got "flex 2" and im a bit short of 80kg) and you will just love the concave and the small kick tails. I have longboarded for some months now, but have not been very active all the time: I had never realy tried sliding before, but using this board i learnt how to do slide somewhat controlled and properly in aprox. 15 minutes. The Tan Tien realy makes you eager for that next run :) The Tan Tien's light weight makes it very forgiving, and it wont break if you accidentally fall of, and it hits the curb. I would say that the Tan Tien is perfect for a beginer as well as an acomplished longboarder. It lets you develop you freestyle skills if you wish, and it wil let you explore different aspects of longboarding with ease. I would not, though, eager you to set down the realy steap hills on this baby. If your a speed demon, you should probably look for a landyachtz board.

My settup:
Tan Tien - flex 2
trucks: paris 180mm. They go like a dream. stable at speed, and a good/low turning radius. Also, they look realy nice! :D Get these if you can aford them!
wheels: Orangatang Durian (yellow 86a). Faboulus wheels. The combination of big 75mm diameter, 45mm contact patch, slide-ready edges and a relatively hard urethane formula makes them good over all wheels, realy fast even on rough surface, and EXCELENT freeride wheels. If you wanna learn how to slide, or plan on doing it in the future: consider these! high quality wheels.
bearings: some random abec 7. it works for me temporarily. Im not a speed freak.

This settup works out realy well for me, but im shure that you who read this is a bit different. You might want some other kind of wheels if you ain't aiming towards sliding and freestyle. If you want extreme grip and soft wheels, then you should consider "Orangatang - In Heat (orange 78a)" wheels. They are a lot softer and grippier, and they have sharp edges that wont slide or drift that easily.

I hope this helped you in your choise of Longboard, and i would be surprized if you regret buying this board.
